I've always loved going to the IndigiScapes Eco Markets and I am very excited to be able to have a stall there for the first time. I will have a large range of items available including oath & display hives, hive roofs & stands, bee books, possum boxes, chopping boards, wooden vases, carved bowls and plenty more.
So come along and enjoy the open-air eco-friendly markets, native plant sales, local environment information and hands‑on experiences at IndigiScapes, celebrating nature, sustainability and community.

Native Spiral
The spiral that started it all...
I bought my first Native Beehive over six years ago on a whim. I had very little interest other than thinking it may be good for the vegetable garden. But that Native Beehive started it all.
At first it was just enjoying watching the cute little bees (T.C). Then it was being amazed reading more about them. Then came the idea of building my own hive which led me to start woodworking and that was were my Native Spiral truly began.
This culminated in me turning my interest in Native Bees and woodworking into a small business in 2024. Now not only am I making a range of Native Bee hives and supplies but even moving into possum boxes, bird feeder, chopping boards, carving...and the list keeps going.

Wooden Vases
Ive been working on a variety of wooden vases. This batch are made from Blackbutt. I'm excited to finish the one with the gnarly void.

What a beautiful line up. These are now all available on my marketplace store. Mahogany has become a fast favorite of mine to work with. When you get the right piece of wood the color just radiates beauty.

Well the before photos were forgotten for this one but the final product shots are amazing.
Rosewood Reveal
These are just a few shots of the Rosewood vases. Decided to take a few for a walk to get some nature shots. I love the way the wood grain wraps around the edges of the vases. These and more are available now on marketplace.
Jacaranda Roug Out
Ive cut down a whole heap of Jacaranda that is set to become a variety of pieces. There will be some power carved fruit & hallway bowls and maybe some serving boards. I will see what happens as I start working with it : )
Jacaranda Carvings
Well as usual Jacaranda is very nice to carve with. I ended up with quite a few different pieces. The powercarved bowls look amazing each with there own unique one of a kind look. There is also some shots of a Camphor one I did at the same time. I also did a small cheese / serving board, I really like the shape of it

I have been busy working on a whole heap of new items just for the upcoming IndigiScapes markets. I have some beautiful chopping / serving boards. As well as a variety of carved dishes. There is a large variety that I will have available that aren't listed on marketplace. These photos are just a small view of what I will have on offer.

Unfortunately no. I am not currently at a level where I have enough hives of my own.
I am still in the process of setting up my website and deciding how to set it out. More commonly asked questions I get will appear here in the future. No. You never need to split your native beehive. They will live happily in their hive, there is no need to split unless you want to (and the hive is ready!)
But.....
If you only have one native beehive I would recommend splitting it when ready at least once. The reason for this is if you lose a hive due to pests / other reasons you have another still in your yard. It is not always easy (or cheap) to replace a lost hive, so I always think two is better than one.
I think anyone who is looking at getting Native Bees or currently has them should have a copy of 'The Australian Native Bee Book' by Tim Heard. It is an amazing source of information with everything you could need to know and more on Native Bees.
Native Bees are very easy as they pretty much take care of themselves. All you need to do is make sure your hive is in a good position, the hive box is damage free and monitoring of hive activity is pretty much it (if your hive goes quiet there may be a problem and intervention is needed).
